How it Started

Once upon a time in 2023, a crazy guy named Vusi Sindane decided to cycle from Musina to Cape Town for 10,000 school shoes.

Partners and Supporters

From large companies to school children. Hundreds have contributed to this course in their own unique way.

Who's Involved

This is a collaboration between Shaakir The Cyclist, the founder of Banditz Bicycles, Vusi Sindane, the founder of skybookings.com, Barefootnomore™ and Kids Etc NPC.

About Kids Etc and Barefoot No More

Barefootnomore and Kids Etc delivered over 20,000 school shoes for Mr Beast in 2023 and hundreds of thousands of other pairs of shoes on behalf of donors from all over the world.

Barefootnomore™ produces recycled school shoes, backed by years of research and a pending patent to provide comfort for up to two years.  This reduces waste plastic and adds to ESG goals for organisations and partners.  Best of all, their manufacturing plant is based in Johannesburg, which creates jobs for the local economy.

For 11 years, Kids Etc NPC has been building a network of relationships and schools in underprivileged areas to provide school shoes.  Seldom seen or appreciated, the administrative process of collecting shoe sizes, arranging transport, delivering the correct shoes to the correct school, and coordinating with community members is onerous and could not be possible without the tireless effort of Kids Etc.

Vusi Sindane is the founder and pioneer fundraiser of this initiative, having cycled 3,257km solo from Musina to Cape Town.

He was born in Mpumalanga and lives in Johannesburg, working as a software engineer and founder of skybookings.com.

Vusi takes on crazy challenges, not only to raise funds for worthy causes but to inspire others to do the same. The funds collected are transferred to Barefootnomore™, which issues tax certificates to the donors and delivers school shoes to each child
